Software for the hours nobody is watching.

NightVigil LLC builds software for home health care. Our products answer one question that overnight care has never been able to answer reliably: was the person on watch actually awake?

What we do

Overnight supervision, made verifiable.

Home care runs on trust: an agency assigns a caregiver to an overnight shift, and everyone assumes the shift happened as scheduled. When it doesn't, nobody finds out until the morning — and by then the harm is done. We build the layer that closes that gap.

01

Prove alertness, don't assume it

Our software asks the person on watch to actively demonstrate they are awake, at intervals they cannot predict or sleep through. A missed response is a fact, not a suspicion.

02

Escalate to a human, fast

When a check goes unanswered, we contact a supervisor, a manager, or a family member — by phone, text, and email — within about a minute, and keep climbing until somebody responds.

03

Keep the record

Every check and every alert is timestamped and retained. Agencies get documentation for insurers and state audits; families get an answer to "was anyone actually watching last night?"

AwakeMinder

Overnight check-in monitoring for home care agencies and for families who hire caregivers privately. AwakeMinder prompts the caregiver at randomized intervals through the night, escalates an unanswered prompt to supervisors and family by phone, SMS, and email, and keeps a timestamped log of every check.

Why we exist

We started this because of one night.

Our mother was 85 years old and a few months into recovery from a stroke. Her care agency had three caregivers assigned to watch her overnight. One night, all three fell asleep.

When she needed help getting to the bathroom, no one was awake to help her. She tried to get there on her own — and fell, breaking her ankle. The agency ended up covering the cost of her surgery.

That night made one thing painfully clear: "someone is watching" isn't good enough if there's no way to know whether they're actually awake. NightVigil exists so no other family has to learn that the hard way.
